The beginnings of the Kisampa K9 unit

Meet “Fisi” (pictured above)

Fisi (meaning Hyena in Swahili) randomly arrived into camp thin and unwell. Possibly abandoned by the village or orphaned from one of the more remote communities.

The decision was made to rehabilitate and to train her for wildlife warning, security and antipoaching.

So far she has proven to be a great extra pair of eyes and feet on the ground, helping her team of humans protect and conserve Kisampa.

If you wish to contribute to Fisi’s wellbeing (vaccinations, food, etc.) click the button below and let us know in the comments that you want your donation to go to Fisi. Asante Sana on her behalf!
